NOTE (C. d'Udekem d'Acoz 21 Jan. 2021): there are strange things concerning the specimens registered as "MT.3849 syntypes of Ampullaria puntaplaya"; there are specimens from different localities and there are huge differences in shell morphology between specimens; I was wondering if more than one species was involved.
