Specimen Pilumnus vespertilio (Fabricius, 1793)
labelled as "Pilumnus tomentosus latreille, Australia, Port Jackson, Haswell Type 1882". RBINS INV. 113838. The vial includes 4 adult males. The specimen illustrated herein was partly denuded dorsally, when it was examined and photographed by C. d'Udekem d'Acoz in 2016. The identification by Haswell seems to be incorrect and the specimens were re-identified as Pilumnus vespertilio by C. d'Udekem d'Acoz on December 8th, 2016. These specimens belong to a batch of specimens receivedby the RBINS in 1882 from Haswell, and which are abusively registered as "topotypes".

This specimen, which is a male belong to a batch of crustaceans received from Haswell by RBINS in 1882, and which are registered as "topotypes". Specimen Ozius truncatus H. Milne Edwards, 1834
Labeled as "Ozius truncatus M. Edw., Ins. Woodlark, topotype, Haswell 1882". RBINS INV. 113675. The glass includes one male specimen. The type material of H. Milne Edwards (1834) came from Australia. Woodlark Island is actually an island situated, east of Papua New Guinea. Hence it is abusive to consider this specimen as a topotype. At first glance the identification of the specimen seems to be correct (d'Udekem d'Acoz, observation made on 02.12.2016). Maybe the locality is erroneous.
